Text Box: My son, Mark, and I  had our best fishing holiday ever with Angie and Carl.
The fishing was fantastic and the atmosphere and hospitality we experienced during our stay was just wonderful.
We will be back soon.

Text Box: Fantastic! Smashed my PB by 10lbs!
Had more 20lb plus Carp in one session than I’d had all year at home.

Text Box: After 5 years of Ebro visits we have found a guide as enthusiastic as ourselves. Who really knows the river and its occupants.
Four PB's in one trip can’t be bad. We will be returning real soon.
Thanks again Carl and Angie

Text Box: Just a quick message to say what a superb time we have just had.
Brian’s previous best carp was only 12 pound but he beat that with his second fish of the night at 27 pounds.
When I fished with you last year you got my PB to 31 pounds and I beat that again with a 33 on the first day.
Thirty nine carp in one night with the smallest at 16 pounds and we must have lost the same amount again.
The cat fishing just gets better with plenty of fish over the magical ton but I couldn’t beat my PB of 123 pound from last year although we came close, but when Brian’s 96 pounder was attacked by a bigger cat then you know what your up against.
It also made a change to spin for Zander. Never even seen one in England.
The quality of guiding you provide is second to none and that's what makes the difference.
A knowledgeable guide is essential to catch the fish and you certainly know where to find them. The boats and fishing tackle you supply are excellent and with stunning scenery everywhere and friendly local people, a good time and a laugh was had by all, and a few beers as well.
Finally a word for Angie. She gets up at daft o’clock to cook a full English every morning (very nice too) and keeps the place spotless.  Its a home from home and we felt very welcome.  I have enjoyed it that much that I am coming back in October for some more cat fishing.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend you both to anybody.
Thanks a lot. See you soon.

Text Box: Myself and two sons have just returned from a from a fantastic six days fishing with Carl and Angie.
From the moment we were collected from the airport Carl and Angies hospitality and enthusiasm were second to none.
Carls guiding was exceptional, we all had catfish over the 100lb with the largest being 146lb and to top it all Darren had a Mandarin Cat of 80lb on a carp rod.
The accommodation tackle and boat were first class, and we all cannot wait to return with you next year .
Many Thanks Again

Text Box: Just got back again from ANOTHER great trip with Rio Ebro Angling.
Went on my on and this time only fished for cats. Three days fishing over 30 runs (16 in one day) and 14 cats weighed in. Smallest was 75lb with lots over the magical 100lb.  A new PB of 136lb topped the trip off.  A broken rod but we still got the fish in.
What can you say about Carl. Superb guide with immense river knowledge. This man gets you on the cats and he really enjoys his fishing. Just booked again for March for four off us.
Can’t wait.

Text Box: You can plaster the pages of your web site with fish. You can let prospective anglers know how many huge fish anglers have caught. This doesn't even really begin to communicate the genuine excitement, the camaraderie, the humour and the essence of a full day 'fishing' in your company.

What's Riba-Roja like?
Riba-Roja for example... beautiful from middle distance, intriguing as you get nearer, hilarious up close. Probably best described as idiosyncratic! Yet there is an endearing charm, honesty, but mostly hilarity, to the place' in an ' El Dorado meets Fist Full of Dollars' kind of way.  That said, we've already had some magical, timeless lunch times and evenings, falling off our chairs with laughter whilst basking in the midday spring sun shine, enjoying  a coffee or a beer.

What's it like fishing with Carl?
Having been woken by the crowing of a cockerel close by (mysteriously from within a nearby upstairs apartment?), there's a tangible air of anticipation we haven't felt in years, as we ready ourselves for off. Stepping into the boat at 6.00am, the exotic sound of the crickets, the sky still a myriad of bright stars on a cobalt blanket, the sweet damp air. Then the engine fires up and we sweep up the river in a flurry of spray, Carl negotiating weed beds by some in built radar. This is going to be awesome.... and it is. Carl himself is relaxed, knowledgeable, humorous, patient and most importantly...... just as excited about the prospect of catching big fish as you're likely to be. He's also rock solid when you need him to be..... like when you're down to the reel knot, being dragged down the boat, more scared than excited......... or when you're paddling the boat in 40 feet of turbulent water after the engine once failed to start, made more interesting by having a lively, near hundred pound fish on the end of the line.

What about the fish then?
Unless you're surname is Ahab, then the likelihood is you'll come into contact with fish bigger than anything you’ve ever even seen in your entire life. Best to get some swearing practice in before you set off as you'll need all the expletives you can get. Ironically, the most memorable fishing session we've had in our two trips so far with Carl, was the one where we caught perhaps the least: A night under the stars with a fabulous mountain backdrop and waking to the sight of huge common carp leaping far out in the morning sunlight.

My point is... there's more to fishing than catching fish. Fishing with Carl has provided me with not just the best fishing holiday I've ever been on, but arguably the best holiday full stop. So don't sell yourselves short by just posting pictures of fish and more fish. There's a lot more to it.

Just came back from winter fishing trip with Rio Ebro Angling. It was absolutely great! Thanks to Carl's effort we were catching from the first day (my Dad smashed his PB twice that day) I had to wait for mine, till the end of the trip ‘cause the last few days had been producing much bigger fish. Constant changes of a baiting tactic had been giving us more and more runs, Carl has a huge knowledge about carp fishing and my 29 lbs PB wouldn’t happened without his help.

Angie got us thru all the booking nice and easy. We are already planning a next tour this time for catfish of course with Carl and Angie.

Many thanks

Marcin and George
